Green Day's American Idiot

So happy to have NEW music and a MODERN show on Broadway. The Disney shows and revivals are entertaining but they get old quickly. Took my 16 year old daughter and we both loved it. Amazing music, vocals and story. Would go again in a heartbeat.

One of the best musicals I have seen in my entire life. It is so beautifully directed by Michael Mayer, and the orchestrations by Tom Kitt are amazing. Very moving and ultimately life changing for me. This is a show that will stay with you.

Wow. Fantastic. The lines were quirky, there was DEFINITELY a plot,the set was outstanding, and the cast seemed to perfectly fit together. Music was great, as expected. C:

Write your review We took our 17-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy on Aug. 3. It was one of the highlights of our NY trip! There were a couple of understudies, but all were great. The 11-year-old may have learned a few, choice new words and experienced a few interesting visuals. But, hey, it was an educational experience, too!

Of course, the music goes without saying, I enjoyed the edgy storyline, the fact that this was not another Disney production, You were able to portray so much, so many props with such a little stage..amazing I have already seen it twice and will many more times, Like to see it go on the road so that my west coast family can enjoy as well... We saw the cast in GMA and right away went on line and purchased tickets for our visit to NY. LOVED IT! The energy was amazing. We took our son and he was surprised that Mom and Dad chose such a great show with great music. Great job and congrats to the cast!

I just loved this show. The cast was outstanding!! Never heard of Green Day but thought the music was out of this world. I am a long time fan of Broadway shows and love the freshness and quality this show demonstrates...LOVED IT and will see it again ..and again.

I just got home from the show! I thought it was amazing! The voices were so well put together, and every song was sang so well. I loved that every song from the album American Idiot was used in the show! It was a dark story line, but SO GOOD! Make sure that you stay until the end for an awesome part of the show! (:

Absolutly Amazing, The show filled in the gaps of my interpretations of both of these tremendous albums. The cast was phenominal. I was moved several times during the performance. See it a again? ahhhhh Yeah!!!!!

The Best Show Ive ever seen the cast is so energetic and full of joy the music was phenomenal and a must see for all green day fans. I saw the play today 6/6/10 at 2 pm and hope to go back again soon awesome job guys! 100/10

Saw it twice in one week, I loved this show so much. The cast is amazingly talented. The set design and choreography was spectacular, and really helped to add to convey the story Greenday intended through their music.

Absolutely amazing! I have always loved Greenday but my boyfriend I took to see it with has not and even he came out singing the songs. The cast was great and brought new life to the already fantastic songs.

From the moment the show began, every single person in the audience was on the edge of their seats. American Idiot is unlike any other musical to hit broadway. I was absolutely blow away by the extreme talent, and every single actor on stage had energy and intensity the entire production. John Gallagher Jr truly shines in this spectacular role, and his chemistry with Rebecca Naomi Jones is undeniable. Stark Sands and Michael Esper were also fabulous. I was utterly breathless for the whole show, and speechless when it was over. A show I will never forget.

Truly amazing cast who brings one of my favorite rock albums to life with an incredible amount of energy. The first ten minutes alone will blow you away! Be sure and get the OCR to relive this one over and over!

i thought the play was amazing. i was a little worried about it because this album is my favorite album ever and i wasnt sure if it was going to kill it but i was wrong it was probaly one of the best plays ive ever seen. i was way off! it was amazing i want to see it so badly again!

Honestly the best thing to ever hit Broadway, and the best thing that ever will be on Broadway. I am one of the biggest Green Day fans ever and seeing this album come to life brought tears to my eyes multiple times during the performance. The cast was perfect for the parts and it was so fun to sing along to the songs. This show defiantly broke boundaries that I never thought could be broken in theater. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!! EVERYONE MUST GO SEE THIS!

Definitely something on Broadway appealing to young people. Enjoyed the energy from the cast, they were all great. It was an interesting jam, the dancing, performance, stage, and the music were awesome. Big shouts to the band on stage, they were playing all night and were flawless!!!!

Great Show for Green Day fans. They did not tour here in Norfolk for 21st Century. This experience made up for the slight! The cast is so talented, energetic and friendly. The "guys" were there and while they did not sign autographs EVERY cast member did. Rent left Broadway recently and thankfully American Idiot has filled the void! Thank You Green Day and Cast for an amazing experience. See you soon!

BEST. SHOW. EVER. So mcuh energy on stage. St. Jimmy was the best character in the show. Just what I expected it to be. Favorite number was Jesus of Suburbia.
